QR code ordering system: orders from the table, approved by a waiter

With a QR code ordering system, guests scan the code on their table, choose from the menu and send their order. With Quarified that order does not go straight to the kitchen: it reaches your waiter’s screen first, moves to the kitchen screen once the waiter approves it, and the guest follows its status on their phone.

How does an order get from the table to the kitchen?

  1. 1

The guest scans the QR code

Every table has its own code. The phone camera opens the menu for that table; no app or account needed.

  2. 2

They choose, add a note and send

They pick an item’s options from a menu with photos and add a note if they like, then choose cash or card at the table and send the order.

  3. 3

    The panel sounds an alert

The order appears under "waiting for approval" with the table’s name, and the panel plays a sound.

  4. 4

    A waiter approves it

The waiter checks the order and accepts it. A wrong or suspicious order can be rejected.

  5. 5

The kitchen cooks, the guest follows along

The approved order moves to the kitchen screen. The guest sees live on their phone when it is being prepared, ready and served.

Why does every order go through a waiter?

The QR code on a table is in plain sight. Someone who photographs it can still open the menu after leaving the restaurant. Without approval, an order like that, a basket sent from the wrong table, or a prank order lands straight in the kitchen.

With Quarified the kitchen only sees orders a waiter has approved. It takes a few seconds, and in return the kitchen never cooks for nobody and no wrong plate goes to a table.

If someone photographed the QR code

Renew that table’s QR code in the panel. The new code downloads and every printed copy of the old one stops working at once.

Waiters can take orders too

For guests who would rather not order on their phone, the waiter adds the order to the same table from the panel. The kitchen sees everything in one list.

Kitchen screen

On a tablet or computer left open in the kitchen, the team sees only approved orders still to prepare, with how long each has been waiting. No hunting for paper slips.

The screen runs in the browser; any tablet or computer in the kitchen will do, with nothing to install.

Calling a waiter and asking for the bill

Guests call a waiter or ask for the bill with a button on the menu. The panel says which table wants what, with a sound and on screen, so the waiter knows what to bring.

Paying at the table

When ordering, the guest says whether they will pay cash or card, and pays your staff at the table. Your payment routine stays the same; you simply know in advance how each table will pay.

A menu that is always up to date

A new price, photo or "sold out" shows on the menu the moment you save it. The QR code on the table stays the same, so nothing needs reprinting.

Dietary tags let guests filter for vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free dishes. "For you" suggestions based on earlier orders and "goes well with" pairings make the menu easier to browse.

Who is it for?

  • Restaurants and cafés with table service
  • Busy venues where each waiter covers many tables
  • Places whose menu changes often and who want to stop reprinting it
  • Anyone who wants no unapproved order to reach the kitchen

Takeaway and delivery orders are not covered today; the system is built for table service.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to download an app?

No. The menu opens in the phone’s browser; scanning the QR code with the camera is enough. No account or sign-up is needed.

Is the guest menu available in English?

Not yet. The guest screens are in Turkish today. Your dish names and descriptions appear exactly as you write them in the panel.

Do I have to reprint the QR codes when the menu changes?

No. A QR code points to a table, not to a menu. Changes to prices, photos or dishes show the moment you save them. You only renew a code if it is lost or someone photographed it.

Can someone who has left the restaurant order with the QR code?

They can send an order, but it does not reach the kitchen until a waiter approves it. The waiter rejects a suspicious order, and you can renew that table’s QR code to switch the old one off completely.

Does it need an internet connection?

Yes. The guest’s phone and the tablet or computer running the panel must be online. The restaurant’s Wi-Fi or mobile data is enough for guests.

How much does it cost?

The price is agreed with you, based on your number of tables and what you need. Request a demo and we will prepare an offer for your restaurant.
