Cookie and Local Storage Policy

This policy explains which cookies and local storage entries the Quarified website, restaurant QR menu and staff panel use on your device, what they are for and how long they last. General information about how personal data is processed is in the Privacy Notice.
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser, which are sent back with later requests. Local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) are areas of your browser that let a site keep information on your device; what is kept there is not sent to the server on its own.
2. What we do not use
We use no analytics, advertising, social media or third-party tracking cookies. We do not follow you across sites, and we do not share what is on your device with anyone for advertising.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
The cookies below are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, and do not depend on your consent. All are set as "HttpOnly": scripts on the page cannot read them, and they are sent only to our server.

4. Necessary and functional local storage
The entries below stay on your device only, are never sent to the server, and are needed for something you started to work:

5. Preference storage that needs your consent: "For You" suggestions

This entry is optional. Product information is saved only if you choose "Accept" on the QR menu. It is never sent to the server, never included in any request and never shared: it is used only on your device, to show suggestions to you.
If you choose "Decline", everything saved so far is deleted and nothing new is saved. "Decline" and "Accept" are offered with equal weight, and you do not have to choose either to use the menu.
This entry is per device: if several people use the same phone, the suggestions reflect all of their choices together.
6. Third-party services
Menu images are served through the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc.; when the images load, your IP address necessarily reaches Cloudflare. We do not use cookies for these images.
When online payment is switched on for a restaurant, the payment page is provided by Iyzico, and Iyzico's own cookie policy applies on that page.
7. How to change your choice
- You can change your "For You" choice at any time with the "Change cookie choice" link at the bottom of the QR menu.
- You can delete or block all cookies and local storage in your browser settings (site data / cookies).
- If you block the strictly necessary cookies, ordering, calling a waiter or signing in to the panel will not work.
8. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies and storage rely on the exemption for storage strictly necessary for a service you requested, in regulation 6(4) of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and on KVKK Articles 5(2)(c) and 5(2)(f).
The "For You" preference entry relies only on your consent under PECR regulation 6, and your explicit consent under KVKK Article 5(1). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
For the data of guests ordering from a QR menu, the restaurant is the data controller; Quarified Ltd provides the application on the restaurant's behalf. For questions, write to kvkk@quarified.com.
9. Changes
When the cookies or storage entries we use change, we update this policy and publish the new version on this page with its version number and effective date. If the Turkish and English versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
